I am really loving this "Blogger to Know" feature. Not only have I been meeting great people but I am also able to introduce them to you! This month I caught up with Carli Alves of Fearfully & Wonderfully Made by Carli. This lady's talent is endless. She puts together the most gorgeous rooms and is not afraid to get tough with power tools.

Ok Carli, tell us about yourself?
I am a stay at home mom
of 4 and I am married to my highschool sweetheart. We are from
Massachusetts, but bought our first home in Rhode Island back in 2005. It
was through my children that I was able to find my love for crafting and
decorating. I have fond memories of creating birthday invitations and
decorations from scratch, just so these items would be unique from what you
find in the store. I’m am definitely the girl who would rather attempt to
make something than buy it, even if it means I end up spending more money doing
so :)
How sweet! So, how did you get your start in blogging?
I use to stalk Pottery
Barn catalogs, and stayed glued to HGTV
in search of inspiration for our home. I came across my very first
home decor blog in 2010 and I was hooked! That’s when I thought to
myself, “I should do this!” And that’s when Fearfully & Wonderfully
Made was born. I chose the name Fearfully & Wonderfully Made because
Psalm 139:14 is my favorite scripture, as it says that we are all created with
meaning and purpose and worth. I add “Made by Carli” as a play on the
creative aspect of my blog. Creativity, for me, is like therapy. Take it
away and I feel at a loss.

What exactly do you discuss on your blog?
At Fearfully and Wonderfully Made by Carli you will find posts about decorating, building, small crafts, an occasional recipe, here and there, and creative and inexpensive ways to help you fall in love with your home all over again
How you describe your design style?
I can't really put myself in the category of one or even two particular styles. Some spaces are rustic and refined (my kitchen), modern and eclectic (my living room), I think my bedroom is a little boho, and other spaces are sort of traditional. In general, I love nice clean lines, but I also love traditional elements suck as crisp white chunky trim
What is your favorite project to date?
I'd have to say the deck,
since our yard is so much more functional now!
