Thrifty Thursdays: Vintage Table & Modern Chairs

I have always loved the idea of mixing and matching different styles together. I have a little bit of contemporary, modern, traditional and vintage throughout my house. I hate dislike :) matching furniture sets! When I furniture shop I try to find things that just "go" together... but that's another discussion for another day.

I had been searching for a table to use in my entryway for about a month when I ran across this cute vintage looking table for only $10.10 at Value Village in Douglasville, GA.

Don't mind the painters tape - I was in the middle of painting

$10.10!

I wasn't sure if it would be good for the entryway but I thought I could spare $10.10 if it didn't work.  I brought it home and it didn't quite work for the entry way so I ended up sticking it in a corner.

It had some water damage and black marker writing on the top but it wasn't bad for the price. I thought about painting it and changing the hardware, but after looking at it for a while I kinda liked the look of it as it was so I decided on not painting. I bought a $3.00 table place mat from Target to cover the writing on the top and I was all set.

Recently I had my family over and my Aunt Shelley, who has a great eye for furniture arrangement, paired the table with two paprika colored modern style chairs that I have. I absolutely love it!  It makes a great cozy sitting area in my dining room...

New Home for this Thrifted Table

I absolutely LOVE my cozy sitting area!

I guess that $10.10 was worth it after all!

What thrifited furniture do you have in your house? What are some of your favorite stores to shop at for thrifted furniture??

See ya soon!
